Doug Aholt started with the Legal Aid of Western Missouri (Kansas City) where he was a Reginald Heber Smith Award recipient. Since 1980, he has lived in Atlanta where he has been a partner with the firms of Allman & Lanner, P.C., Chambers, Mabry, McClelland & Brooks, LLP and Chambers, Aholt & Rickard, LLP.
Doug has extensive litigation experience in a wide range of complex and catastrophic personal injury cases, including defective products, inadequate premises security, trucking accidents and nursing home neglect. Additionally, as a former insurance defense attorney, Doug now handles insurance disputes on the part of policyholders who believe an insurance claim has been improperly handled by the insurance company.

Non-Legal Activities
Doug Aholt is an active resident of the Decatur, Georgia community, where he has served as the Performing Arts Chairman for the Decatur Arts Festival for several years. He also is Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Decatur Arts Alliance. Doug is an active fundraiser for the Decatur High School Athletic Booster Club and enjoys serving as a sports announcer for the school's lacrosse team.
